Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a Spanish-speaking conversation partner in Frankfurt. I’m a native speaker of English and would feel more comfortable doing an English-Spanish exchange, but I’m not sure what my chances are of finding somebody to be honest, so I’d also be happy to do a German-Spanish exchange. My German’s good, but it’s not native… But then sometimes it’s good to learn from somebody who learnt the language as a foreign language too…

I’ve lived here a few years and work as a translator. I like talking about anything and everything – current affairs, film, art, history, what you did at the weekend, what I’m planning on eating tonight, the great mysteries of life… But don’t profess to know an awful lot about any of the above (esp. what you did at the weekend!).

ich suche ein Spanisch-Englisch-Tandem in Frankfurt am Main. Ich bin Englischmuttersprachler, also würde ich ein Englisch-Spanisch-intercambio bevorzugen. Allerdings bezweifle ich, dass ich jemanden mit dem passenden Profil sehr schnell finde (Spanischsprachige/r, der/die in Frankfurt wohnt und Englisch lernen möchte)… Ich könnte also auch ein Deutsch-Spanisch-Tandem anbieten 🙂 Ich spreche gut Deutsch, bin aber kein Muttersprachler. Aber vielleicht ist es gar nicht so verkehrt, von jemandem zu lernen, der die Sprache auch lernen musste.

Ich bin seit einigen Jahren hier und arbeite als Übersetzer. Ich kann mich für verschiedene Themen begeistern: Politik, Kunst, Filme, Geschichte, das, was du am Wochenene gemacht hast, was ich heute Abend essen werde, die großen Rätsel des Lebens halt!

No voy a escribir tanto en espanol, porque no puedo! Pase dos semanas en Sevilla en agosto. Me encanto. No quiero olvidar lo que aprendi del espanol… Y de todos modos tengo que aprenderlo para mi trabajo. No hablo con mucha fluidez, pero puedo decir lo que quiero comunicar (mas o menos!)
